Unique Luminous Marker

This belt buckle came as part of the estate of a Lieutenant in an Airborne Signal Corps unit. It has a Luminous Marker soldered onto the front of it - and given the radioactive nature of the contents of this Marker, I'm not convinced that wearing such a belt buckle next to your crotch is a sensible idea!

An early "Taylor" wrist compass, issue spectacles, a "Conqueror made in USA" brown plastic whistle on a silver chain and a "trench lighter" also came with the buckle. The whistle chain is the standard US Army type, but is curiously marked "Germany" on the hook.
