Memorial to Glider-Riders of the 194th GIR (17th Airborne Division) who lost their lives in an accident in December 1944.

The WWII airfield was virtually demolished in the early 50's when the base was rebuilt. These are the post-war hangers viewed from the apron. The Technical Site is now a business park and the runway is currently being removed to be turned back into a Common.
